Today is Forgiveness Day in my homeland Macedonia. 

The tradition is that the younger ask for forgiveness from the older. I have always loved this day, not only because my parents have forgiven me for all the crazy mistakes I‘ve made when I was younger and not only because of the deliscious baklava my mom makes for this day, but also because forgiveness makes my soul fly freely.

 Forgive others, because everyone does the best they can with the resources they have. If they knew better, they would have done better.

 Forgive yourself, because also you do the best you can at any given moment, with the resources you have. If you knew better, you would have done better.
